Nation of Neighbours Flags
Our nation needs new flags to represent how we really live together. Flags to celebrate how we accept one another’s differences and find common ground, flags to honour hard won battles against inequalities, flags to glorify the welfare state, our love of the commons, and the rich histories from all over the world which make up our nation.
In December 2025 we reached out to some of the UK’s most loved graphic artists and asked them to imagine exactly that.
We now have over 40 flags and there’s still more in production.
We’ll be exhibiting these Flags soon but, in the mean time, here’s a peek at all the flags we have. If you want to feature any (or all) of these flags at a Fête please contact us.
Each artist has also included a brief description of why they made their artwork. All these descriptions are included in A1 poster versions of each Flag. These posters are great for dressing your Fête.
You can download the artwork for twelve of the Flag posters below, we’ll be adding more poster artwork in the near future.
All posters are shared on a Creative Commons license. This means you can only exhibit the Flags non-commercially and you can’t sell the artwork. If you want to exhibit these works commercially please contact us and we’ll work with you and the artists.

A crowd of odd shapes sharing the same space. The flag is about living alongside one another despite differences, and against the fear and division that pushes people apart. Like grains of sand, friction between people can wear away something solid and reshape it over time.
